Chronic Pain Warrior & Teenage Entrepreneur
Zoe Gellert
After an injury when she was 11-years-old, Zoe Gellert developed complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), a form of chronic pain that causes a person to experience persistent, severe and debilitating pain. But Zoe's passion was inspired during her therapy sessions and she turned her experience into an opportunity. She created Zoe's Heroes, a foundation that raises funds for causes whose missions are close to Zoe's heart, and started a jewelry company while she was in treatment for her CRPS. Today, Zoe's Heroes has raised over $50,000 and Zoe recently donated $7,000—one month's profits from her jewelry sales—to Children's Specialized Hospital's Chronic Pain Management Program.
