Hess Gifts Holiday Toy Trucks to Children’s Specialized Hospital Patients with Special Guest John Flaherty

Revving up the holiday season, Hess donated 2022 Hess Flatbed Trucks with Hot Rods to patients at Children’s Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick with their special guest former New York Yankees catcher, now YES Network Broadcaster, John Flaherty.

Flaherty delivered the time-honored Hess Toy Trucks to each patient and their families at the hospital. Along with wishing them a happy holiday season, he fielded questions from long-time New York Yankees fans, adding to the excitement and cheer of the toy delivery.

This year's Hess toy truck is a winner of the prestigious Oppenheim Toy Portfolio’s Platinum Best Toy Award and Toy Insider’s Top Holiday Toy Award. The 2022 Hess Toy Truck is an action-packed, 3-in-1 retro-design racing team, with 42 total lights and 4 realistic sounds!

This special gift donation is part of Hess Corporation's continued tradition of giving back during the holiday season through a variety of donations to charities and children’s hospitals across the country.

“Over the past 15 years, Hess has donated more than 1 million toy trucks to children in need, which includes those dealing with healthcare issues that cause them to spend the holidays in hospitals or long term care centers such as Children’s Specialized Hospital,” said Justin Mayer, Hess Toy Truck general manager. “Since 2016 Hess has visited the children patients at CSH annually to bring Hess Toy Trucks and it’s a personal highlight for me to see the children brighten up when they get to hear the sounds of the Hess Truck Toys or play with the speedy vehicles and flashing lights.”
