Meet Izzy—CSH Patient & Aspiring Actor
Izzy was having trouble with mobility and doctors discovered Izzy had a spinal cord tumor just before she was a year old. She underwent surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. She endured 42 rounds of chemotherapy. Surgery left Izzy with partial paralysis in all of her limbs, so she came to Children's Specialized Hospital for intensive therapy—and with our help, she took her first steps the day before her last chemotherapy treatment.
Today, Izzy is living her best life and following her dreams to be an actor. She most recently performed at Radio City Music Hall in front of a few thousand people!
