IT ALL STARTED AS A SMALL ACT OF KINDNESS IN WESTFIELD, NJ AND TODAY, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN HAVE RECEIVED THE LIFE-CHANGING CARE THEY NEED TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL

In 1891, a small group of Westfield residents created a home for underprivileged children to find respite and improve their health in the "country air." Quickly, realizing those children had greater medical needs, Children's Specialized Hospital (CSH) was born. Our original hospital still stands proudly as the "white house on the hill" in Mountainside, NJ, CSH has expanded to 15 facilities across New Jersey offering life-changing care for children living with special healthcare needs like brain and spinal cord injuries, chronic illnesses, autism spectrum disorder, and a full scope of developmental, behavioral and mental health concerns.
