James A. Pirot Joins Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees

Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation (CSHF) is pleased to announce the election of James A, Pirot, Managing Principal, Project Management at Cresa New York, to our Board of Trustees for a three-year term.

CSHF is the fundraising arm of Children’s Specialized Hospital, an RWJBarnabas Health facility and the leading provider of pediatric rehabilitation in the country, treating more than 35,000 children each year who are living with special health needs—from chronic illness and complex physical disabilities to a full scope of developmental, behavioral and mental health concerns. The sole mission of CSHF is to inspire and secure philanthropic support for the hospital’s most critical needs.

“Jim Pirot and I have worked together in different capacities throughout our careers and I am continually impressed by his generosity and ability to make meaningful connections across networks,” said Alissa Memoli, President and Chief Development Officer, CSHF. “Jim will be an incredible asset to our foundation as a member of the Board of Trustees.”

The CSHF Board of Trustees includes individuals from a broad spectrum of industries and disciplines, each member offering exceptional business acumen and unique experience to foster the foundation’s growth and success. Pirot’s 35 years of experience managing complex project management challenges on a national scale will expand the board’s expertise as they work together to provide financial oversight, secure philanthropic support, and ensure that the organization has adequate resources to execute on strategic plans.

“Jim is a valuable addition to our established Board of Trustees,” said Leslie Logan Taylor, Chair, CSHF Board of Trustees. “His insights and experience will enhance our ability to strengthen our foundation’s operations and elevate our brand positioning in a highly competitive landscape.”

When asked about making this commitment to CSHF, Pirot stated, “It is an honor to be part of an organization that every year helps tens of thousands of children and their families. I am fortunate to be part of an industry recognized for its generosity and will tap into my network for welcome resources.”

Pirot will begin his three-year term on January 1, 2024.
