Help the Dewey Sisters Raise Funds for Children's Specialized Hospital!

Rebecca and Isabella Dewey have a long standing relationship with Children's Specialized Hospital.

As part of their B'not Mitzvah, they have decided to give back to CSH and they need your help to reach their goal!

Sherri Dewey began identifying signs of her daughter Rebecca's stroke at four months old. When comparing the development of Rebecca to her identical twin sister Isabella, Sherri noticed facial paralysis, drooling, one of her eyes being wider than the other, and not using her right hand. Doctors diagnosed Rebecca with a right hemiplegia caused by a stroke that occurred before birth.

Rebecca began coming to Children's Specialized Hospital for physical and occupational therapy three to four times a week at around six months old. As a result, Isabella spent a lot of her time at the hospital as well.

The Dewey family credits much of Rebecca's success to the fact that Isabella was able to participate in therapy sessions as well. This made a huge difference in the development of both girls. Isabella was kept occupied and felt included in her sister's progress. Rebecca was able to watch her sister's example which made her work even harder!

Today both sisters are a force to be reckoned with! Rebecca enjoys dancing, arts and crafts, and drawing. She is in all general ed classes at her school and gets mostly A's in all of her subjects. She would like to be a teacher or a veterinarian when she grows up.

Isabella enjoys arts and crafts, watching tv, horseback riding, and hanging out with friends and family. She has aspirations of working in the medical field.

Thank you for your support!
